Crossing borders seem more daunting than it really is. If your paperwork is in order, you shouldn’t have any issues with getting into the country of your choice.
Your passport needs to be valid for at least 6 months after your planned date of return to South Africa and you need to have at least 2 open pages left. Minors need an unabridged birth certificate else they won’t let them cross the border. You also need official paperwork for your vehicles (including your trailer or caravan), proof of insurance and a letter from the bank, if these vehicles are still under a payment agreement.
