Genius Invention For Bakkie Owners – BakkiBuddi

It seems like I’m a bit late to the BakkiBuddi party, but now I’m definitely one of the converted! On one of my frequent trips to Outdoor Warehouse (some girls do window shopping at Guess or Forever New, I go to Outdoor Warehouse), I found this genius little gadget against their wall.

The BakkiBuddi is a nifty little gadget that you use to extend your arm’s reach when you have to unload stuff from the back of your Bakkie. I’m always battling to get groceries or bags from way back in the loading bin and with the BakkiBuddi I don’t even have to call my kids to come and help me. It’s made of lightweight aluminium, weighing in at only 250g, and it features a telescopic arm which extends the reach to 1,2m. Included in the packaging is a set of brackets with self-drilling screws so that you can mount the BakkiBuddi pretty much anywhere in the back. It took us less than 10 minutes to install the brackets and to fit the BakkiBuddi in its new forever home and I am very excited to use it for the first time.

You can find their website here and a list of their distributors here but like I mentioned earlier, I got mine from Outdoor Warehouse. They sold it for R200 so I’m not sure how much it would go for at the other distributors. You can also order from them online, if you can’t get to any of the listed dealers. They’re also on Facebook if you would like to contact them via social media.
